Frequently Asked Questions

Key details regarding preparation, logistics, safety, and bookings

The Everest Base Camp Trek is a challenging high-altitude trek suitable for people with a good level of fitness. No technical climbing experience is required, but regular preparation and endurance training are highly recommended.

The best seasons are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November)**, when the weather is generally stable and mountain visibility is excellent. The trek can also be undertaken in other seasons with appropriate preparation.

Previous high-altitude trekking experience is helpful but not essential. With proper preparation, a suitable pace, and guidance from an experienced trekking team, first-time trekkers can complete the Everest Base Camp Trek.

Accommodation is mainly in local teahouses and lodges along the Everest trail. Rooms are generally twin-sharing, while attached bathrooms are available in selected lower-altitude locations. Facilities become more basic as you reach higher elevations.

Lukla flights are highly dependent on weather and operating conditions. Delays or cancellations can occur, particularly during unstable weather. Our team will assist with the necessary arrangements, but additional costs resulting from delays, cancellations, or unexpected itinerary changes are not included in the standard package price.
